How it works: Users capture videos of distracted drivers-which must also include license plate numbers-and simply submit them to agents via the app. The mobile ticketing app, dubbed Text to Ticket, is available to download through the iOS App Store or Google Play. A California start-up is tackling distracted driving head-on by launching an app that allows users to record other distracted drivers’ actions behind the wheel, and send in the video for a $5 reward.
